1. Lowers Your Cholesterol
      According to a study from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain, Healthy study participants who consumed the same grape supplement found in red wine saw their LDL, or "bad cholesterol," levels decrease by 9% among healthy. Participants with high cholesterol experienced a drop of 12%. Excess amounts of LDL can be build up of plaque in the walls of the coronary arteries in your heart which leads to a heart attack. 

2. Protects the Heart
    Not only does wine lower bad cholesterol, the antioxidants in red wine assists in maintaining flexibility of blood vessels as well as aid in the reduction of unwanted clotting. Chronic, heavy drinking damages the heart so moderation is key. 

3. Get Slim
     The chemical piceatannol has shown to impede the growth of adipose cells (fat cells). You may be thinking, "Yeah, okay Karis. You wish." Researches say that piceatannol latches to the insulin receptors of fat cells which then obstruct the necessary pathways for immature fat cells to grow and mature.

4. Memory
     Researchers from Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago found that moderate wine drinking lowered a person's risk of dementia by 23 percent. Scientists speculate that wine improves blood flow to the brain, which keeps it healthy (and sharp).
